Dear parents and guardians,

Welcome to a new 2012-2013 school year! I want to introduce myself as your child’s new teacher for the current school year. My name is Samantha Bryan and I will be one of the fourth grade teachers at St. Helena-Incarnation Regional Catholic School. Fourth grade should be a very exciting year for your child and I look forward to working with each and every student. Throughout the year, please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns that you may have. Our classroom website will be a valuable source of information and will be updated daily. The website will be updated with announcements and homework will be posted on the website as well. Please visit the website at: http://SBryan.educatorpages.com. Below you will be able to read some information regarding my experience and education.

This is my second year teaching for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Previously, I taught at St. David’s in Willow Grove. Prior to that I completed my student teaching experiences in the School District of Philadelphia. I have experience working with ESL students, as well as, hearing impaired students. Prior to teaching for the Archdiocese, I worked as an Applied Behavior Therapist in an early intervention program, serving students with special needs. I graduated from West Chester University in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Fine Art. Shortly after, I went on to complete my certification and Masters in Elementary Education and graduated from Holy Family University in 2011.

I believe in the use of positive reinforcement and will be implementing a reward system to encourage appropriate and on-task student behavior. In addition, I am also a firm believer in helping students relate what they are learning to the real world. I strongly encourage parental involvement and communication throughout this school year. If at any point in time you have a question or concern please e-mail or call the office.

Please do your best to purchase school supplies promptly. I also ask that you complete the parent contact form as well and have your child turn it in as soon as possible. I also encourage parents to attend the Open House meeting on 9/12/12 at 5pm in the gym! Thank you in advance for your cooperation throughout this current year. I look forward to working with you and your child!

Warm wishes,

Ms. Bryan
